Officer Nominations

The Southeastern Region is now accepting nominations for Regional Officer positions. Eligible Sorors interested in serving are encouraged to review the qualifications and nomination procedures carefully before submitting an application.

Nomination Procedures:

1. A Soror seeking one of the positions that is up for elections shall complete the nominations application via Google and submit it by the deadline September 30, 2026

2. All portions of the application must be completed including and all requested documentation. Any missing information will render the application incomplete, and the candidate will not be cleared for vetting.

3. Once a candidate has been vetted, the candidate will receive a message that she has met all qualifications to run for the position she is seeking AFTER the close of the application deadline. All candidates will be notified via email within 3 business days following the closing of the application deadline.

4. The vetted candidates should be prepared to submit why she is the best candidate for the position she is seeking during the Virtual Southeastern Regional Conference Candidates Forum Session.

5. The candidates should be prepared to answer questions from the nominations committee and the members of the Southeastern Region during the Virtual Candidates Forum following the video presentations.

6. Important: Once you click Submit, your application is considered final. All required documents must be included at the time of submission. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and submissions will not be reopened for additional documents or corrections.

Officer Qualifications:

(SER Bylaws Adopted date 2024) Article VII, Sections 3.2 and 3.3

1. The qualifications of Internationally appointed and Regionally elected officers shall be those set forth by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and/or current Robert’s Rules of Order.

2. Other elected or appointed officers shall have at least two years of prior Regional experience, be ZOL (Zeta Organizational Leadership) certified, and have served in some leadership capacity at the state or local level in the sorority.

3. All elected officers shall be ZOL (Zeta Organizational Leadership) certified, in good standing and participating members of a local chapter within the Southeastern Region. All appointed officers must take and successfully complete the Zeta Organizational Leadership Training Program, and receive the Zeta Organizational Leadership Certification prior to, or within one to two years of being appointed to the Regional Executive Board based on when the Zeta Organizational Leadership Training Program is offered.
